Job Summary
Coordinate day-to-day operations for the Development & External Relations department, managing project timelines, workflows, and cross-functional meetings across fundraising, grants, and business development initiatives. Maintain accurate donor, prospect, and grant records within Salesforce, generate strategic dashboards, and support the implementation of AI-enabled tools and digital workflow improvements. Process gifts and pledges, prepare donor acknowledgements and stewardship materials, and coordinate logistics for fundraising events and corporate engagement opportunities. Assemble grant proposal packages, track submission deadlines, and prepare biweekly status reports for leadership. This hybrid role involves 5-15% travel throughout the year. Based in California, the position offers a salary starting at $86,000 with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Four or more years of experience in nonprofit operations, development operations, project management, fundraising support, or related work
- Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Experience using CRM systems
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities
- High degree of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, and accountability
- This hybrid position is based in California
- You will work from home and in the field
