Job Summary
Set annual fundraising goals and execute strategies to meet them while managing the annual fund through direct mail, email campaigns, and calendar sponsorship solicitation. Cultivate a personal portfolio of major gift prospects, partner with the CEO on significant asks, and coordinate solicitation activity across six homes to ensure consistent messaging. Coach Home Administrators and Resident Activities Directors on donor engagement, capture interactions in CharityProud, and set standards for donor database usage and platform optimization. Ensure timely acknowledgment at all giving levels, build donor retention practices, and provide regular updates to the CEO and Board. Work 40 hours per week in a hybrid schedule with occasional evening and weekend availability for events.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, or community fundraising
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Clear, mission-centered communicator
- Organized and self-directed
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel statewide
Desired Qualifications
- CFRE credential or active pursuit
- Experience with donor database or CRM platforms
- Background in veterans' services, healthcare, or senior care
- Familiarity with grant writing and funder relations
- Experience working with a nonprofit Board of Trustees
