Job Summary

Establish long-term goals for contribution categories and develop communication lines with all staff. Assist in budget creation and review for the development department each fiscal year. Oversee the donor lifecycle, conduct prospect research, and serve as the primary contact for monthly donors and special groups. Manage stewardship activities, grant writing, and proposal submissions while collaborating on corporate and foundation fund development. Execute events by coordinating venues, securing contractors, and notifying affiliates of volunteer opportunities. Oversee volunteer recruitment, placement, coordination, and retention, producing monthly reports from VolunteerHub. Maintain accurate donor files, event records, and contact lists in CRM software. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to update website content and social media promotions.

Required Qualifications

  • Commitment to Knoxville Habitat for Humanity's mission and values
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field and subject (relevant fields include but are not limited to: business administration, marketing, communications, and public relations)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written communication skills and command of English language and grammar, with the ability to compose, edit, and proofread materials
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects within assigned deadlines
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Reasonable comfort level with ambiguity and evolving institutional priorities
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Must meet the physical requirements of job, including lifting and/or moving 25 pounds
  • Regular, predictable attendance

Desired Qualifications

  • Aptitude and/or experience in using management software (examples: Monday.com, Salesforce, and DonorPerfect)
  • Experience working with a non profit
  • Experience working in sales, business development or non profit fundraising
