Job Summary
Development Coordinator at Carmen Schools of Science and Technology handles fundraising, marketing, and development initiatives to maximize gifts for the network. Responsibilities include driving fundraising campaigns, soliciting individual, corporate, and foundation proposals, managing donor visits and gift proposals, maintaining a contributors database and generating development reports, drafting grant applications, coordinating with Marketing to produce fundraising materials and annual reports, supporting alumni engagement, and organizing local events and community partnerships. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of professional fundraising or stakeholder engagement experience; strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills; grant-writing experience is a plus; committed to diversity and inclusion. The role is based in Milwaukee, WI, and requires occasional evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in fundraising, community engagement, or stakeholder engagement; experience working for schools or community organizations preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactiveness
- Demonstrated ability to attend to multiple areas of responsibility and meet target goals and objectives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with grant writing and reporting is a plus
- Familiarity with the local community
- Ability to foster and work in a cooperative, team-oriented work environment
