Job Summary
Development Communications Manager responsible for writing and project management across fundraising efforts, including creating donor-focused materials, leading content strategy for development websites and campaigns, curating collateral, and supporting executives with communications; role involves producing cases for support, proposals for major gifts, managing editorial calendars for print/email/web, collaborating with freelancers/vendors, and translating data into compelling narratives about the student experience, with an emphasis on athletics, wellbeing, dining, and residential life; requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional writing/marketing/communications experience, strong writing, project management, and relationship-building skills, and the ability to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment; hybrid on-site/remote work may be available for up to 2 days per week for on-campus candidates in MA, NY, CT, or VT, with a majority on-campus presence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in writing, marketing, communications and/or communications project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple diverse assignments/projects simultaneously and meet complex goals
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and sustain relationships with key campus partners, respond diplomatically to diverse constituencies, and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in assessing and translating data to address complex challenges
