Job Summary
Development Coach in the Community Services Division supports a group of individuals in Crossroads, promoting independence and personal growth through recreation, life-skills development, community integration, and horticulture. Responsibilities include implementing Individual Plans within the Day Habilitation program, informing the interdisciplinary team of issues, ensuring progress toward goals, exercising positive behavioral management, completing documentation (progress notes, logs, timesheets), fostering self-esteem, developing community and independent living activities, and participating in required trainings and meetings. Must have HS diploma (3 years with disabilities experience) and CPR/First Aid; DOT certification required after hire; on-site in Upper Marlboro, MD with a Monday–Friday schedule; salary $18.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years’ experience working with people with disabilities or behavioral issues
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Background check
- DOT physical and drug test for DOT certification
- BA/BS in related field preferred
