Job Summary
Design and build high-availability, fault-tolerant backend services and APIs while leveraging AI coding assistants to accelerate reviews and improve engineering efficiency. Own root cause analysis for production issues and turn lessons learned into lasting improvements. Set standards for code quality, CI/CD, security, and testing, then mentor mid- and junior-level developers through pair programming and code reviews. Collaborate on complex customer projects to find the right technical solution. Research emerging tech, run POCs, and bring the best ideas back to the team. Requires Java or .NET proficiency, cloud experience, and a mindset that treats AI as a co-pilot.
Required Qualifications
- Backend / full-stack experience in production environments
- Proficiency in Java and/or .NET
- Hands-on with cloud (AWS or similar), Docker/Kubernetes, and serverless
- Hands-on experience with at least one AI coding assistant in real projects (not just trial use)
- Solid fundamentals: clean code, testing, code review, Git workflow
- Awareness of data security & responsible AI usage (no sensitive data in prompts, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, high-traffic backend systems in production
Desired Qualifications
- Fintech/payment / high-TPS API background
- Experience with agentic workflows, MCP, custom skills, or prompt engineering at scale
- Contributions to internal tooling, dev productivity, or DevEx initiatives
- Exposure to observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Tempo)
