Job Summary
Support property due diligence by reviewing zoning and land development codes, conducting market research, and performing financial analysis to assess project feasibility. Collaborate with the VP of Development to review consultant proposals, oversee planning, entitlements, and permitting processes, and manage external engineers and surveyors. Attend meetings with brokers, sellers, and municipalities to facilitate project coordination, assist in budgeting, and source new development opportunities. This role contributes to value engineering and plan reviews within a vertically integrated private equity firm focused on self-storage investment and redevelopment across the United States and the UK.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a demonstrated interest in real estate development
- Previous experience in real estate, construction, or related fields
- Familiarity with real estate contracts
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with strong public speaking abilities
- Highly organized and efficient in a multi-tasking environment
- Self-disciplined and hardworking in a fast-paced setting
