Job Summary
Development Associate supports fundraising, donor engagement, and operational functions with emphasis on annual giving, donor stewardship, grassroots and digital fundraising, and data-informed development strategies. Works with the Development team to execute fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor relationships, support communications and stewardship, and contribute to sustainable philanthropic programs expanding access to care and promoting health equity. Essential functions include drafting acknowledgments and appeals, maintaining CRM donor records, coordinating donor recognition, coordinating post-gift communications, supporting annual campaigns, building donor segmentation lists, monitoring giving activity for renewals and upgrades, planning campaign calendars, coordinating donor events, and collaborating across teams while maintaining confidentiality in donor-related matters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3+ years of professional experience in nonprofit development or related fields
- Fundraising or development experience required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor CRM/database systems
- Ability to engage high-net-worth donors and cross-functional partners
- Creativity and adaptability in fundraising
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
