Job Summary
Development Associate- Institutional Giving responsible for supporting grant reporting and donor relations within a nonprofit focused on racial justice. Works with Institutional Giving Manager to develop standard reporting templates and calendars, manage grant reporting and acknowledgement, assist with grant preparation, and help expand mobilization and advocacy efforts. Must reside in the Atlanta area and be able to report to the central office up to four times a month; role is remote with in-person/remote hybrid flexibility. Key duties include maintaining grant reporting calendars, preparing biannual newsletters for foundations, supporting a portfolio of private and corporate foundations, ensuring timely grant report submissions, and assisting with donor database entries. Requires collaboration with program and finance teams, attention to grant agreement language, and travel up to 15% as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of experience in grant reporting and grant writing
- Experience with donor databases; Salesforce preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Mail Merge using Excel and Word
- Experience in a mid-sized nonprofit focused on social justice preferred
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic virtual environment and manage multiple projects
- Strong writing and verbal communications skills
- High attention to detail
Desired Qualifications

- Knowledge of donor databases; Salesforce experience preferred
