Job Summary
Development Associate responsible for accurate and timely processing of gifts, pledges, pledge reminders, payments, and gift receipts, maintaining donor records and ensuring data integrity. Develops reports and queries to analyze programs and campaigns, supports planning activities, and liaises with Finance for credit card gifts, monthly reconciliation, and payroll deductions. Ensures overall data integrity by enforcing standards for database and donor records, including data entry policies and procedures. Assists Development Manager with planning and implementing special events and campaigns. Curates and manages social media and website content for Bethesda Health Group Foundation in collaboration with Marketing. Maintains collateral material inventory, envelopes, and letterhead, coordinates with the mail house on direct mail campaigns, and tracks campaign expenses and invoices.
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS in related field or equivalent mix of education and experience
- One year of relevant experience
- Analytic ability, including familiarity with statistical analysis
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work accurately with detail
- Computer experience and skills working with word processing and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of functions and relationships of departments within a health care environment preferred
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands for working with equipment
- Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral communication, visual acuity and ability to read and understand written directions
- Occasionally lifts and transport items weighing up to 10 pounds
