Job Summary
Development Associate responsible for supporting fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, marketing efforts, and special events. Works with the Sr. Director of Development, Sr. Manager of Donor Stewardship, and Chief Development Officer to plan and execute fundraising events, manage donor data in Raiser's Edge, coordinate donor recognition, assist with social media and website content, and help create donor materials and campaign collateral. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, proficiency with CRM/database systems, and effective written and verbal communication. Bachelor's degree preferred and 1–3 years of related nonprofit development experience; valid California driver’s license required. Hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm, Santa Ana, CA; full-time with benefits; salary range $26.50-$29.75 per hour depending on location and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in nonprofit development, events, marketing, communications, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in fundraising, events, marketing, or nonprofit administration experience with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM/database
- Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and CRM/database systems
- Advanced PC skills - MS Office 365 (including Teams)
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events
- Ability to set priorities, think strategically, take initiative, and solve problems while managing multiple deadlines
- Possess a valid California driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
