Development Architect -SAP Business Network Team

Job Summary
Build and scale the SAP SCM Business Network platform, architect cloud-native, secure, scalable distributed systems using microservices and domain-driven design; lead architecture discussions and establish engineering best practices; mentor developers and drive engineering excellence (TDD, automated testing, code reviews, DevOps pipelines); collaborate with product/management to shape the roadmap; integrate SAP Business Network solutions including Asset Intelligence Network, Logistics Business Network, and Ariba Network into a unified intelligent enterprise platform.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, system architecture, and enterprise application development
- Deep expertise in programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, Python, or Golang
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies, Generative AI concepts, or AI-driven developer productivity tools is an added advantage
- Strong experience designing and building cloud-native applications using modern architectural patterns
- Proven expertise in domain-driven design (DDD), microservices architecture, and scalable platform engineering
- Solid understanding of DevOps culture, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, observability, and operational scalability
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, coding standards, design principles, and secure development methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical solutioning, architecture discussions, and cross-team engineering initiatives
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills
- Passion for mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or related field from a premier institute
