Job Summary
Developer, Product Development role driving RDQ activities for new product development, portfolio maintenance and productivity projects. Works with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing, and manufacturing requirements. Manages pilot plant and factory trials, conducts shelf-life testing, designs for quality, and prepares consumer-led specifications. Writes technical reports interpreting results to support conclusions and recommendations, with emphasis on delivering consumer-centric product development.
Required Qualifications
- Food science, science, or engineering ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods market
- Experience working on teams and independently with guidance of a manager
- Ability to prioritize and manage activities
- Proactive problem identification and independent solution implementation
- Ability to apply technical understanding to interpret and analyze data to reach conclusions
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical writing
- Customer-focused approach to development activities
- Experience with pilot plant and factory trials
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements
