Job Summary
Develop and maintain complex applications as a Senior/IV-level developer on contract. Responsibilities include analysis, design, programming, and implementation of large-scale systems, providing technical guidance to team members, collaborating with customers and business analysts to ensure solutions align with IT architecture, and performing full lifecycle software development tasks (design, code, test, debug, document, and support). Requires strong expertise in mainframe/midrange/PC-LAN environments, C/C++, SQL, Unix, EDI-related front-end work, and the ability to lead technical efforts on projects. Residency within the U.S. for the past three of five years is required; role is contract remote with 8:00-5:00 hours and Teams interviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 6 years of application development, systems testing or related experience
- Experience with Unix command-line and shell scripting
- Proficiency in C/C++ and SQL/Database integration (Oracle or open source)
- Experience with multi-tier distributed systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment
- Residency requirements: must have lived in the U.S. for three of the past five years
- CMS security clearance/residency requirements will apply
- Experience in design, coding, testing, and documentation of complex applications
- Ability to lead or provide guidance to lower-level programmers/analysts
