Job Summary
SAP ABAP Developer III responsible for analyzing user requirements and system challenges to automate business processes and enhance SAP solutions. Provides technical design, develops ABAP programs (RICEFW), builds and supports integrations using RFC, BAPI, IDoc, Proxies, and OData services, and implements enhancements via User Exits and BAdIs. Collaborates with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, and other teams to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions, conduct unit testing and support SIT/UAT, and ensure adherence to development standards, security, and performance. Manages transports and deployments with Solution Manager, supports archiving, and assists in planning, testing, and deployment of SAP support packages. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 6-9 years of SAP ABAP experience, plus strong analytical, communication, and technical skills across Java/.NET/Python/JavaScript, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and API/microservices architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 6-9 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP (ECC and S/4HANA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong expertise in Java/.NET/Python/JavaScript
- Experience with modern development frameworks and tools (React, Angular, Spring Boot)
- Strong understanding of API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with integration technologies (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services, OData)
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong ownership and delivery focus
- Experience with version control systems and project management tools
- Knowledge of software security best practices
- Participation in on-call support rotation
- German language is a plus
- ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, Fiori/UI5 basics preferred
- Exposure to S/4HANA simplifications and modern extensibility
