Job Summary
Build and maintain features across backend and frontend, collaborating with the product team from functional specs through delivery. Debug and troubleshoot production issues independently, including within legacy codebases you did not originally write. Write meaningful automated tests (unit and integration) before submitting code for review, and conduct code reviews for peers providing constructive feedback. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements, build automation, and deployment processes while identifying technical debt to propose well-justified refactoring strategies. This role requires experience with .NET and a frontend framework, proficiency with SQL Server or Oracle, and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Git and Azure DevOps. You must demonstrate the ability to read and modify legacy codebases in VB.NET, VB6, and Classic ASP.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience with at least .NET and one frontend framework
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Experience with .NET (C#) and at least one frontend framework (e.g., Angular)
- Proficiency with SQL Server or Oracle and relational database concepts
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, and Docker
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and modify legacy codebases (VB.NET, VB6, Classic ASP)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical decisions and progress clearly
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Entity Framework and managing database migrations
- Familiarity working in both Windows and Linux development environments
- Experience with test automation frameworks and continuous integration tools
- Knowledge of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
