Job Summary
Design and develop solutions for cloud and on-premise platforms within the Service Management team, including design, testing, and peer reviews. Provide technical and functional support for specific systems while advising clients on maintenance, enhancements, and requirements gathering. Analyze, evaluate, and solve technical and non-technical problems across workstation and multi-user environments. Create clear technical documentation and specifications, participate in code-walkthroughs, and assist in troubleshooting new applications. Deliver accurate Level of Effort estimates and implement best practices for system modifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a recognized university/college with a degree/certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Systems, Math, Engineering or an acceptable combination of education, related experience, and training
- Experience with ServiceNow is an exceptional asset
- Experience with Microsoft tools (i.e. Office tools, SharePoint, Visual Studio)
- Experience in debugging and code optimization
- Experience analyzing, recommending, designing, and implementing solutions appropriate to the core technologies used, including an understanding of the Core Functionality, Reporting, Interfaces, Customizations and Extensions and how each will fit into the existing environment
- Experience using JavaScript
- Experience with Python, Java
- Experience using source control and code repositories
- Knowledge and experience with Project Management and Patch Management processes
- Knowledge of the cloud and various cloud platforms
- Knowledge of modern software development life cycle and software configuration management processes, practices, and techniques, including Agile, Scrum, Cloud Solutions, and DevOps
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy considerations in systems
- Knowledge of development best practices and coding standards
- Strong ability to effectively communicate insights verbally, visually, and in writing
- Ability to establish rapport, build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, business partners and managers
- Great at analyzing and solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues
- Ability to analyze business processes and requirements and adapt them into technical designs
- Confident and resourceful developer willing to research and triage problems

- This position is a hybrid position with a minimum – 3 days per week on site at Ottawa Head Office (151 Slater Street, Ottawa, ON)
- The successful candidate must meet the security requirement of the position and be legally able to work in Canada
