Own HeyGen's developer community programs across hackathons, online communities, and meetups. Set up programs, playbooks, and culture; design formats and energy distribution for events; plan and execute hackathons end to end; organize meetups (format, venue, speakers, partners, logistics, promotion, follow-up); manage Discord and Reddit; develop a Developer advocacy program and identify advocates; capture pain points and feature requests for Product/Engineering; measure and report on community health to guide initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years in developer community, DevRel, developer marketing, or technical community management for a developer-facing or API-first product
  • A track record of running successful Hackathons and meetups
  • Experience growing online communities (Discord, Reddit, GitHub)
  • Enough technical fluency to earn developers' trust (read API docs, build a demo, discuss SDKs, webhooks, rate limits)
  • Strong operational instincts and meticulous logistics
  • Ability to be on-site and travel for events
  • Self-starter with comfort in ambiguity and fast-moving, early-stage environment
