Job Summary
Develop, create, test, and modify computer systems according to specifications while working closely with analysts to understand business requirements. Code, compile, and implement application software delivered on time and within budget, evaluating interrelationships to determine how changes affect related areas. Debug programs, create test files and data, verify logic, and write relevant documentation throughout the complete System Development Lifecycle. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in systems analysis, design, and programming, with proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and MS SQL. This position is within the Application Development team at CGS Administrators, LLC, a Microsoft shop supporting Medicare beneficiaries and healthcare providers across 38 states.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in a job related field
- Associates degree plus an extra 2 years job-related experience for a total of 3 years of required work experience
- Associates and successful completion of BCBS Entry Level Training Program
- 5 total years required work experience
- 1 year of technical experience with systems analysis, design, and/or programming experience
- Basic understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, web, and/or PC/LAN environment
- Able to demonstrate a good foundation in program logic design
- Capable of logical abstract thinking and assimilating/adhering to project goals and deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Pays attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools
Desired Qualifications
- .NET Framework and C# - Developing proficiency in.NET Framework for developing robust applications
- MS SQL Database - Awareness and basic knowledge of SQL
