Job Summary
Senior Software Developer / Developer & Test Engineer Task Lead responsible for leading software releases, coordinating testing and O&M activities, overseeing defect resolution and enhancements, and providing technical leadership across the development lifecycle. Role involves managing release planning, execution, regression/integration/UAT testing, requirements traceability, modernization efforts, and ensuring compliance with IRS development standards and security/configuration management. Primary liaison between the technical team and Government Program Manager, guiding development teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a remote, US-only context.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership roles
- Experience leading application development, testing, and software release activities
- Strong experience with Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio, and SQL Server
- Experience supporting production applications and O&M environments
- Experience gathering, managing, and implementing business and technical requirements
- Experience coordinating directly with Government customers and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
