Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for GKE-based platform infrastructure on GCP and on-prem, automating infrastructure with Terraform and GitOps, managing GKE clusters, FluxCD pipeline, secret management with Vault, CI/CD with GitLab, Istio service mesh, OPA Gatekeeper, observability with Prometheus/Grafana/Kiali/Fluent Bit, and on-call incident response; requires 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience, strong GCP and Kubernetes expertise, GitOps and FluxCD, service mesh, Vault, OPA, ESO, SOPS/KMS, Bash/Python, monitoring and AI/LLM tooling experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or SRE roles
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP including GKE, IAM, VPC networking, GKE Fleet, Workload Identity Federation, and GCP Secret Manager
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code across multi-environment setups
- Solid Kubernetes experience — cluster operations, node pools, RBAC, network policies, troubleshooting
- Experience with GitOps principles and FluxCD (or ArgoCD) in production
- Hands-on experience with Istio or another service mesh — traffic management, mTLS, observability
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and access policy enforcement
- Experience with OPA Gatekeeper, External Secrets Operator (ESO) for Kubernetes secret synchronization
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools — Prometheus, Grafana, log aggregation pipelines
- Demonstrated use of AI or LLM tools to improve infrastructure work
