Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) works under the Nurse Manager as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, high‐quality medical and nursing care in a residential behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include completing admissions assessments, administering medications, performing point‐of‐care testing, providing individual and family counseling, developing educational content on medical topics, supervising LPNs, coordinating care with outside providers and discharge planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and completing required training. Required credentials include a valid Ohio RN license, at least 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience, knowledge of psychiatric medications and interactions, knowledge of applicable standards, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and OH Medicaid credentialing; BCI check and drug screen are also required. Desired experience includes psychiatric or addiction nursing. The role is part‐time with 12‐hour shifts and compensation of $36.00–$43.00 per hour DOE, located at 4000 E Main St, Whitehall, OH 43213.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio RN license
- Minimum 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, their indications, common side effects, and common medication interactions
- Knowledge of federal, state, and other applicable standards for clinical practice in assigned area(s)
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurance
- Must pass BCI check, all corporate compliance checks, and employment drug screen
- Must already be credentialed with OH Medicaid
