Detox Intake Coordinator

Job Summary
Screen patients via phone and walk-in inquiries, initiating insurance verification and scheduling assessments. Maintain HIPAA compliance while completing all paperwork clearly and concisely. Conduct daily facility rounds, follow up on patients, and formulate discharge and aftercare plans with patient involvement. Perform community outreach telephone calls and complete bio-psychosocial assessments. Report daily census to the corporate office. Bachelor's degree in Human Services with two years of social service experience required; knowledge of addiction and substance abuse treatment preferred. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services
- Minimum of 2 years of social service and/or clinical service work
- Knowledge of addiction and/or dependence
- Must be a team player
- Willingness to accept and promote goals with minimal supervision
- Ability to assist and support others
- Ability to identify problems and implement solutions
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to interact with others
- Past experience in hospital setting
- Past experience in hospital management
- Satisfactory drug screen
- Criminal background check
