Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeters, to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security observations according to site protocols. Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions within a government location. Verify identification and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel. Maintain a professional presence by following post orders and communicating with site contacts or first responders as needed. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in South Carolina and is scheduled for day shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
