Job Summary
Detailer Trainee at Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southeast in Lexington, NC. Learn AutoCAD and the detailing system (RebarCAD) to document reinforcing steel products for fabrication, delivery, installation, and invoicing under supervision. Build customer service relationships while supporting profitability. Responsibilities include detailing simple projects (foundations, walls, footings, piers, slabs, stairs, retaining walls), submitting placing drawings for approval, processing change orders, maintaining deliveries for fabrication, communicating with customers/architects/engineers, coordinating with the Detailing Manager, and participating in weekly safety and project meetings. Starting pay $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with regular performance reviews and a comprehensive benefits package (medical/dental/vision, disability, life insurance, vacation, holidays, profit sharing, 401k with match, stock purchase, tuition reimbursement, and scholarship programs).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Vocational certificate (or currently enrolled) in CAD design/drafting OR related degree issued from an accredited school or college
- At least six months experience using AutoCAD and Windows based software
- Able to read architectural/engineering blueprints
