Job Summary
Detail concrete pipe and manhole assemblies from contract drawings; create shop drawings in drafting software (AutoCad, Tekla Structures) and perform data entry into Stack-It; conduct material take-offs from contract drawings; communicate and collaborate with project managers, engineering, and the plant to create accurate drawings for each project; possess post-secondary technical education and experience with drafting software; strong time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; OSCO Construction Group offers health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP benefits, and education scholarships.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education from a technical program (civil, structural, mechanical)
- Experience in manufacturing or construction would be considered an asset
- Experience using drafting software would be an asset
- Experience with Oracle / JD Edwards would be an asset
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong data entry skills with both accuracy and speed
- Detail orientated and the ability to effectively multi-task
- Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Excellent writing and grammar skills
- Strong problem solver
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
