Job Summary
Wash the exterior of vehicles using various cleaning solutions, wax and buff surfaces with machines and cloths, vacuum interiors to remove debris, and clean upholstery. Apply preservation chemicals, dyes, paints, and waxes to protect leather and fabric, and remove grease from engines. Perform quality inspections on your work and that of team members, maintaining strict adherence to uniform and grooming standards. Use OSHA-approved cleaners like window cleaner and tire shine while working outdoors under varying climate conditions. This physically demanding role requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and moving numerous vehicles. A valid driver's license, one year of detailing experience, and availability for weekends and holidays are required.
Required Qualifications
- 1 or more years of detailing experience
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Desire to treat each customer's personal vehicle with great care and respect
- The willingness to come to work on time and stay on task when on the clock
- The ability to drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles
- The availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays as deemed necessary to meet production needs
- Commitment to report to work on time and stay on task during shift
