Job Summary
Inspect vehicles and work areas upon completion of reconditioning to ensure they meet sale condition and Auction standards. Clean out and de-trash the interior by removing debris from ashtrays, consoles, dashboard, door panels, seats, trunk, and engine compartment. Remove license plates, stickers, and window writing, then disassemble spare tires. Wash vehicles using high-pressure washers or automatic equipment, applying chemicals to power-wash the engine compartment and clean battery terminals. Detail vehicles by cleaning trim, molding, weather stripping, instrument panel, steering wheel, dash molding, wheels, tires, hub caps, wheel wells, moldings, bumpers, head- and taillights, and all windows. Buff vehicles by applying dressing to the engine compartment, wheels, wheel wells, and tires, then apply compound, cleaner, or polish to buff out using a rotary buffer or by hand. Wax and buff exterior and all painted surfaces using a hand-type buffer. Vacuum, scrub, shampoo, and spot clean carpet and upholstery, straighten seatbelts, and return warranty booklets and manuals to the glove box. Follow all safety and health procedures, model related behaviors, and perform assigned duties including driving vehicles into the building and to clean car staging areas.
Required Qualifications
- Less than 2 years' experience in a related field
- Safe drivers
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, squat, and lean for extended periods
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship

- Basic knowledge of auto detailing, paint application processes, and associated repair procedures
