Job Summary
Inspect and verify that quality of detail and reconditioning work meets customer specifications and auction standards by visually and tactilely examining vehicles. Track all vehicles entering and exiting lanes using detail sheets, check wash bay steps, and inspect interior cleaning, buffing, and final touch-up procedures. Reject vehicles not meeting standards and return them for redo, generating appropriate reports and re-inspecting problem vehicles to ensure quality. Ensure employees have proper equipment and trained in its use, while maintaining clean wash bays and work areas throughout the day. Perform other duties as assigned, including driving vehicles into the building and to staging areas. Work day shifts with overtime as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- Need to be able to pass a background and prison background check and drug test
- Valid Driver's License and safe driving record
- Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Vision abilities required to include close, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 – 4 years of experience in a detail shop, re-conditioning work, or as a quality controller inspector highly preferred
