Job Summary
Greet and assist travelers and visitors by providing knowledgeable information about events, attractions, dining, accommodations, and transportation. Manage Welcome Center brochure inventory and ensure visitor-facing displays, promotional materials, and resources remain current and accurate. Support on-site destination activations for major conferences, meetings, and conventions by preparing and distributing materials to attendees. Respond to special guest requests, including accessibility and language assistance, while adhering to airport security procedures at the BWI location. Answer visitor inquiries in person, by phone, and via email. This front-line ambassador role rotates between the BWI Airport, the Annapolis Visitor Center, and other off-site locations based on organizational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a TSA background check required by the airport
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or tourism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-traffic situations
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of the local area (transportation options, hotels, dining, attractions)
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to work at the Annapolis location during training
