Despatch Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee the despatch, handling, and distribution of all outbound orders while managing staffing levels to optimize operational efficiency. Lead, coach, and develop warehouse operators, building strong relationships with transport providers and customers. Meet targets for Delivery In Full and On Time (DIFOT) and ensure compliance with OHS, Chain of Responsibility, HACCP, and food safety legislation. Escalate and resolve operational issues quickly to maintain service standards and drive continuous improvement across warehouse and despatch operations. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager within the Kinrise Baking Team in Hallam, focusing on delivering exceptional service for iconic Australian food brands.
Required Qualifications
- Valid forklift license
- Over five years of experience operating high reach forklifts in despatch or warehouse settings within the food industry
- Background in leadership positions such as Team Leader or Supervisor
- Experience successfully coaching and developing diverse warehouse or despatch teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate, influence, and resolve issues effectively in fast-paced environments
- Excellent time management and organisational capabilities
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
- Strong food and people safety mindset
- Proven experience in adhering to safety compliance standards and HACCP
- Experience leading by example in safety compliance
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in warehousing or distribution
- Previous SAP experience
