Job Summary
Systems Engineer to support government desktop engineering initiatives in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA. Build and maintain endpoint strategy for Windows, Apple, and Linux, ensure STIG compliance via DISA-approved baselines, and manage desktop deployment lifecycles. Responsibilities include developing configuration guides, creating and updating GPOs in Active Directory, deploying desktop images and applications (via PSADT), and delivering technical documentation. Must have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility, DoD 8570 IAT II certifications, and 6+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor's degree required. Proficiency with Windows/macOS/Linux environments, AD/GPO, SCCM, scripting (PowerShell/Python/Bash), and virtualization/VDI (VMware/Citrix) is expected. Location-based, onsite roles in Annapolis Junction, MD and Sterling, VA. Salary range: $142,792–$184,000; annual, with comprehensive benefits and on-site/onsite-flex options.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements (Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security)
- Experience with end-user computing environments (Windows 10/11, Mac OSX, Linux)
- Experience with Active Directory, group policy, SCCM
- Experience deploying Windows/Office updates and enterprise applications
- PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting
- Familiarity with VMware ESXi/VSphere and virtualization
- Familiarity with Citrix or VMware VDI architecture
- STIG and SHB device/configuration control knowledge
- Experience in building desktop images and GPO updates
- Strong documentation and support skills
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance
