Job Summary
Desktop Support Technician (Level I/II) sought to provide hands-on IT and end-user support for PCs, Macs, and printers. Responsibilities include phone support and on-site remediation for workstation issues, troubleshooting and resolving diverse system problems, and onsite installations of software, upgrades, service packs, and security updates. The role requires knowledge of MAC and Windows operating systems and desktop applications, the ability to install/configure/administer technologies, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with Cisco Phone Systems knowledge and certifications considered a plus. The position serves New York City and Long Island clients, reflecting a customer-focused IT solutions environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years hands-on experience as a Desktop Support/IT Technician or equivalent
- Knowledge of MAC and Windows operating systems and desktop applications
- Experience with installing, configuring, and administering a broad range of technologies
- Ability to provide phone support and on-site remediation for workstation issues
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and peripherals (printers)
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Cisco Phone Systems is a plus
- Certifications a plus
- On-site installations of software, upgrades, and service packs
- End-user support for desktop issues
- Printer troubleshooting and support
