Job Summary
Desktop Support Technician responsibilities include providing end-user support across hardware, software, and peripherals; configuring and deploying systems; troubleshooting and resolving IT issues; managing cloud-based and on-premises support systems; participating in on-call rotations; and ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures. Key skills include strong customer service, communication, troubleshooting across Windows/macOS/iOS, Active Directory, M365/Entra ID, ITIL processes, VoIP, SaaS apps, MDM, and a focus on accurate IT asset records and documentation. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Help Desk, IT Service Desk, or end-user support roles
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Apple iOS operating systems
- Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing ITIL-based systems for incident, service request, and asset management
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting VoIP phone systems
- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Windows-based environments required
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITSM, or HDI are highly preferred
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
