Job Summary
Desktop Support Specialist responsible for managing and troubleshooting complex virtual server networks, designing enterprise-level environments, and providing technical support for financial systems services for the Department of State.
Required Qualifications
- A four-year degree in an Information Technology (IT) or business-related field
- 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft servers and desktop operating systems
- 1 year of experience in desktop support
- Experience with Active Directory computer network systems
- Experience providing user support and troubleshooting local and wide area network problems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Microsoft server and desktop operating systems
- Experience in providing desktop support
- Experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting virtual server environments
- Experience managing networked based data storage devices and tape backups
- Experience in leading teams or supervising work groups
- Technical certifications such as Comp TIA A+, Network +, Server +, Security +, Network Appliance, VMware
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to either possess or obtain a security clearance of 'Top Secret/SCI'
