Job Summary
Desktop Support Specialist responsible for installing, configuring, and testing IT equipment; assisting with network and system upgrades; handling IT support tickets in a timely manner; troubleshooting and diagnosing user hardware/software problems; documenting network and system configurations; ensuring confidentiality and compliance with EMS Quality Policy; requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 2 years IT support experience; strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 years’ experience working in IT support
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team atmosphere
- Preference in working in a small business environment
- Knowledge and skill in using discretional judgment and organizational ability as well as being adaptable and versatile to perform different duties
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality to Company information
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language
- Ability to stand, stoop, reach, hold up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
- Able to stand and freely move about a manufacturing facility on a repetitive basis
