Job Summary
Review US Navy technical manual formats to ensure adherence to contract requirements. Utilize desktop publishing software to produce new and revised manuals. Prepare and submit Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) data items. This role supports the Technical Publications group within BIW's Integrated Logistics Support organization, focusing on developing products required by Navy contracts. Candidates must obtain an interim security clearance within 45 days and possess experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and SGML/XML files.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire
- Experience working with AutoCAD
- Experience working with Adobe Photoshop
- Experience working with Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) or Extensible Markup Language (XML) files
- Associates Degree in Graphic Arts & Design
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Above average familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Detail orientated
- Well organized
- Ability to strictly adhere to product schedules
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience working with AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) or Extensible Markup Language (XML) files
