Desk Side Support Field Engineer

Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals while customizing desktops to meet site standards. Install and upgrade Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Apple devices, and authorized applications; perform preventative and remedial maintenance on laptops, printers, and peripheral equipment. Manage user accounts, restore data, and track hardware/software inventory to ensure proper spare parts levels. Safely package and arrange transport for defective equipment, escalating complex issues to Tier 3 support when necessary. Monitor incoming calls to develop trends, resolve network connectivity problems using diagnostic tools, and familiarize end users with device operations. Work with vendor contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop environment while adhering to warranty requirements and departmental procedures.
Required Qualifications
- driving licence
- local language on at least B2 level
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist
- A+ experience
- Windows OS experience
- Apple, Mac, iPhone, iPad
- Routers, switches and firewall experience
- Microsoft Office support
- TCP/IP
- Enterprise Backup Software
- Working knowledge of SMS, AD, Exchange 2007/2010 and remote-control tools
- Knowledge of all software applications used within the organization

- associate's degree in a related area or 7+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
