Job Summary

Desk Operations Specialist helps coordinate patient visits and supports the health care team in a multispecialty medical practice. Responsibilities include coordinating complex appointment schedules, preparing patients, obtaining/verifying demographics and insurance information, advising patients of scheduling changes, processing ABN forms, scheduling tests and screenings, documenting vitals, facilitating patient flow, and assisting with access/navigation duties such as greeting patients, verifying appointments, enforcing policies, and coordinating with security and multidisciplinary staff. The role requires ability to navigate electronic applications and medical devices, strong communication and customer service, conflict de-escalation skills, and physical ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds. Flexibility for cross-coverage and potential travel is expected. Mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position including F1 OPT STEM.
