Job Summary
Senior Designer on the Workplace team responsible for leading collaboration on commercial interiors from programming through concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation. Develop space planning concepts, generate program documents, participate in furniture selection, coordinate team and consultant work, and support construction administration. Requires strong Revit expertise, FF&E knowledge, leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3DS Max, AutoCAD, BIM tools). The role emphasizes high-level design leadership, client relationship management, and delivering coordinated, technically proficient documentation for diverse workplace projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- 12+ years of related experience as an interior designer, with a focus on commercial interiors
- Proficiency in Revit
- Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials
- Outstanding graphic presentation skills
- Willingness to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development
- Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp; 3-D Studio Max preferred
- NCIDQ preferred but not required; working toward licensure is supported and encouraged
