Job Summary
Designs commercial and complex residential roof and floor systems and produces layouts for pricing and manufacturing. Requires independent judgment and oversight of structural and architectural design; discusses changes with engineers, architects and contractors; presents, sells and follows up on new jobs; prepares roof truss and truss joist layouts; coordinates and follows up on new jobs; performs job-site inspections; produces materials lists; determines notes to append to contracts; resolves architectural/design discrepancies; maintains and upgrades the computer system; assists shipping; adheres to safety policies and completes trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in civil, architectural or design related field required
- Experience: 3 years of drafting experience in a construction or building materials-related industry required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
