Job Summary
Design control panels and assemblies per customer specifications by identifying requirements from BOMs, descriptions, and quotations. Prepare drawing packages including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and enclosure cutouts using AutoCAD and SEE Electrical. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and customer representatives to generate accurate packages and support the Panel Shop in constructing designs. Review drawings for accuracy and adherence to quality procedures while ensuring physical products align with specifications. Based in San Marcos, Texas, this role requires advanced CAD skills, knowledge of electrical systems and codes, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two year's prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced CAD, technical writing, and communication skills
- Working technical knowledge of electricity, electrical schematics and control logic, electrical control systems and components, and three phase power distribution
- Working knowledge of Codes and Standards (NEC, CEC, UL 508A, etc.)
- Experience with Standards related to Hazardous Locations (NFPA 496, UL 121201, CSA equivalents, etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously and drive results, and be self-driven and motivated
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Superior teamwork skills across a multi-faceted organization
- Computer literate - Advanced MS Office skills
- Must be team oriented and able to participate in a team culture
- Be safety minded
- Be enthusiastic and willing to take on responsibility
- Able to generate new ideas, challenges the status quo, takes risks, supports change, encourage innovation, and solve problems creatively
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred. Bachelor's degree in another technical field considered with industry experience.
