Job Summary
Verify design performance specifications and manage contract timelines to deliver projects on time and on budget. Create detailed CAD models of manufactured components and purchase parts, then generate bill of materials and manufacturing drawings for assemblies, weldments, and schematics. Review all models and drawings for completeness, interferences, and manufacturability while updating tolerances and initiating engineering change orders. Interact at a management level with Mfg Operations, Sales, Clients, and Quality to ensure designs meet client expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Has the ability to interact at a management level with Mfg Operations, Sales, Clients, and Quality
- Has completed courses in trigonometry, mathematics, physics, machine shop and drafting
- Has a Computer Aided Drafting and Design AAS Degree
- Or has any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
