Job Summary
Generate original design concepts and comprehensive documentation for retail, food & beverage, and luxury projects, including preliminary design plans, 3D renderings, and exhibits. Collaborate with architectural staff to integrate conceptual work into contract documents, conduct design research, and perform existing condition surveys. Assist with project programming, space planning, and FF&E specifications while contributing to construction administration procedures, RFIs, and submittal reviews. Produce accurate deliverables for RFP responses and marketing proposals in accordance with project schedules and budget constraints.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, design, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in a professional architectural or design firm
- Certification as a licensed professional
- Demonstrated experience in design production and 3D visualization
- Understanding of the relationship between design and constructability
- Proficient with Revit, Sketch-Up, Auto-CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, VRay and Enscape
- Experience selecting finish materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Basic understanding of merchandising needs in a store environment
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with sustainable material sourcing, documentation of embodied carbon
- Certification as a licensed professional preferred
