Job Summary
Designer opportunity at Innovative Design Build in Atlanta’s high-end residential market. Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to translate project requirements into concept sketches and 3D renderings. Work with a Junior Designer on design concepts, host client meetings for plans and selections, and develop detailed design plans (floor plans, elevations, material specifications). Source high-quality materials and furnishings aligned with client vision and budget, coordinate with the Project Manager and vendors to implement designs, and provide design guidance during construction to maintain design integrity. Stay current on industry trends and manage multiple projects from initial concept to handoff, supporting Sales through the design process to Construction Agreement, with a focus on design excellence within a collaborative, design-driven firm.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years in design
- Strong experience in construction documentation/drafting
- Strong experience in architectural finishes
- Knowledge of building codes and zoning
- Proficiency with Google Sheets, Google Docs, CAD, Chief Architect and SketchUp or similar 3D rendering software
- Ability to develop design plans including floor plans, elevations, and material specifications
- Ability to coordinate with Project Manager and vendors and support during construction phase
- Portfolio submission required with application
