Job Summary
Prepare fire protection design drawings and hydraulic calculations for commercial and residential buildings in compliance with applicable codes for submittal and fabrication. Assist the Design Manager in surveying existing fire protection systems, preparing material listings, and conducting field surveys to support fire sprinkler system installations. Build knowledge on fire sprinkler component selection, hazard analysis, fluid hydraulics, and code compliance requirements while expanding expertise through on-the-job training and self-direction. This hourly position requires 3 to 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience, AutoCAD proficiency, and mechanical aptitude. Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude with strong desire to excel
- Proven Autocad 2018 or higher proficiency and ability to learn new software
- Computer fluency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Continuous employment for a period of three years
- Occasional out of town travel
- Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening
- MVR checks
