Designer II

Designer II leads and oversees less experienced designers to ensure timely, accurate completion of cooling tower orders. Responsible for ensuring project outputs align with requirements, applicable science, and regulatory codes; progresses orders from field sales to application engineers to fabrication or field construction. Creates CAD drawings, handles fabrication details, design, descriptions, and engineering specifications of vendor-supplied materials; interfaces with vendors and field erectors to resolve issues affecting shipments or construction. Expected to plan personal work, generate bills of material, review documentation, maintain file integrity, and execute engineering change orders. Supports manufacturing and construction by answering questions and providing training; mentors and trains other designers in software tools and product details. Role requires onsite office work with hybrid schedule after probation, occasional after-hours work, lifting 10-30 pounds, and effective communication. Education and certifications include a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in drafting or engineering technology, or equivalent experience; travel and working environment notes apply.
