Job Summary

Create product formulations meeting customer specifications using established design rules and technology protocols. Support product development projects by operating laboratory equipment to evaluate performance and quality while documenting testing results and project activities. Collaborate with senior designers, sales teams, and technical groups to develop innovative solutions, author technical reports, and assist in creating new design protocols. Follow quality system requirements and safety protocols to ensure timely completion of assigned work throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test used to detect color vision deficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Intermediate to advanced mathematical skills, including algebra and statistics
  • Occasional travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in product design, quality testing, technical laboratory work, or related roles
  • Laboratory experience in plastics, color, paints, inks, custom compounding, or similar industries
  • Ability to learn color matching systems and product design software
