Job Summary
Meet customers to consult on flooring projects, listening to their needs and building creative design concepts that incorporate personal style and budget. Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial clients, then design and sell complete, functional solutions. Manage multiple simultaneous projects through all phases with consistent communication, collaborating with store leadership to guide inquiries from start to installation. Schedule design appointments for existing and potential clients while developing clientele through networking and referrals. Utilize company communication tools and design applications like Salesforce to track progress and achieve sales goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
- Degree in Design is a plus
- Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
- Proficient in basic mathematical skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
- Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position
- Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are required
Desired Qualifications
